Today, as the jury trial of client D.G. entered its second day in Virginia Beach, the prosecution made a surprising offer.
The prosecution would drop the attempted murder charge in exchange for pleading guilty to lesser charges with our client released from prison within 60 days.
“We were hired to mount a vigorous defense of our client and were fully prepared for a contentious jury trial," said defense attorney Diane Toscano. "But we were pleased the prosecution reexamined their case and offered to drop the attempted murder charge in a deal that has our client released in the next 60 days.”
