Personal Injury & Accident Cases
Prior to joining Toscano Law Group, Dan spent five years at Cooper Hurley Injury Lawyers, where he represented clients injured in car accidents, slip and fall cases, and other personal injury claims. He is well-versed in negotiating with insurance companies and preparing cases for trial when necessary.
Dan continues to handle select injury cases and is a key part of Toscano Law Group’s growing personal injury practice in Hampton Roads. He is dedicated to helping injury victims recover the compensation they deserve.
State Criminal Law Experience
Dan began his legal career as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney, where he tried a wide range of criminal cases. He then spent more than a decade working as a Public Defender, giving him a comprehensive understanding of both sides of the justice system. This dual experience sharpened his trial advocacy and laid the foundation for his success in complex civil and family litigation today.
As a criminal defense attorney, Dan built a reputation for being a tireless advocate for his clients and a skilled trial attorney, winning cases for clients charged with murder, rape, robbery and many other serious offenses.
Education and Community Involvement
A lifelong Virginian, Dan grew up on the Southside of Hampton Roads and earned his undergraduate degree from Longwood University. He received his law degree from the University of Richmond’s T.C. Williams School of Law in 2007.
Dan and his family live in Norfolk. He is active in the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association and the Virginia Beach and Norfolk & Portsmouth Bar Associations. When he's not working, you might find him on the sidelines of a sporting event to cheer for one of his four kids, conquering the daily New York Times crossword puzzle, or enjoying all that the coastal Virginia lifestyle has to offer.
