Diane Toscano, Esq. James Broccoletti

Diane Toscano is a former prosecutor whose tough yet respectful style in the courtroom - refined through twenty years of experience and training - is apparent to her clients, judges, and other attorneys.

Diane is an experienced litigator and tough negotiator that you want sitting next to you -- a steady hand guiding you through the process – when your future is on the line.

Diane focuses on federal and state criminal defense, personal injury and civil litigation, and Title IX. From civil suits  to capital murder trials to defense of high-profile public figures, Diane handles some of the area's most serious cases and has become one of the go-to attorneys in difficult situations.

Diane has won settlements in various civil cases. She is currently the lead attorney in the much-watched $40 million lawsuit against Newport News Schools on behalf of her client Abby Zwerner, the amazing teacher who, shockingly, was shot by the six-year-old boy.

In criminal law, she's even won "not guilty" verdicts on murder charges in jury trials.

Her track record has earned her the distinction of being named by Virginia Lawyers Weekly as one of 2022's Influential Women of Law, as well as "Legal Elite" by Virginia Business and Top Lawyer of Coastal Virginia for multiple years running.

Not only is Diane focused on winning for her clients in the courtroom, but also in the court of public opinion by fighting for their reputation in the news media.

Diane started her career in 2006 as a prosecutor in the Virginia Beach Commonwealth Attorney’s Office where she prosecuted hundreds of criminal cases ranging from traffic offenses and DUIs to robberies and violent crimes, both before judges and juries.
