Ria Almeida serves as a family law clerk at Toscano Law Group.
She is a third-year law student at Regent University in Virginia Beach with experience as a professional paralegal.
At Toscano Law Group, Ria performs research and drafts filings for the firm’s divorce and custody cases.
Prior to Toscano Law Group, Ria interned in Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court in Portsmouth, Virginia working in support of J&DR Judge Bryan Meals. She was also a judicial intern in Norfolk General District Court.
Spending time in family court observing child custody and child support cases has helped Ria understand how the justice system works when it comes to the best interest of the child.
Ria also understands the family law challenges facing the members of our military community. As an intern with Air Force JAG, she worked on legal opinions, legal reviews, and appellate briefs.
At Regent, Ria participates in Honor Council, Moot Court Competition, Asian Pacific American Student Association, Chess Club, and the Women’s Law Association. She is a member of Virginia Beach Bar Association. She holds a bachelor’s degree in National Security and Law.
In her free time, Ria enjoys powerlifting and competes in USAPL. She enjoys just about anything active.
